We are a community who gathers together. We are socially connected, even if we are physically apart at this time. We continue to pray for our community, our country, and our world.
Worship will be live streamed from our St. Philip Facebook page:
Sunday Morning Worship - 10:30 a.m.
Bulletin for Sunday, April 5, 2020
“Song and Story” Wednesday Evening Worship - 6:30 p.m.
Bulletin for Wednesday, April 1, 2020
As our Facebook page is public, one does not need to login to Facebook or have an account, but the process is much more cumbersome. The Sunday worship service will also be put on our website each Monday morning on our “Sermons” page. We are exploring other avenues to distribute our services.
For our other gatherings, we will use the cloud conferencing program, Zoom.
Directions: Click the link below at the appointed time to join the meeting. The first time you do this, you will be prompted to download the software. You can join in from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera. This is safe, and you only need to install the software once. You can find more information about Zoom at zoom.us.
Education & Community
Galatians Bible Study - Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. - https://zoom.us/j/445919526
We will continue our walk through Paul’s letter to the Galatians. All you need is a Bible!
*Please note that at our first study on 3/31, Pastor Jason will be late to arriving due to another meeting.
Virtual Open Office Hours - Mondays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. - https://zoom.us/j/819735331
This is a time for “open door” conversations to check in and say “hi.” Think of it as stopping by the church office under normal circumstances. As multiple people can join the meeting simultaneously, you never know who else will be there!
Specific Pastoral Care needs can be addressed directly by the Pastor through phone, Facetime, Zoom, or any other “physical distance” ways.
Groceries and Supplies
We do have a group of people who are willing to run errands, such as groceries or to the pharmacy, should anyone need support in that way. Please contact the office if you would require assistance in this way.
We are hoping to put together a phone tree in order to check on our members. Please let Linda H. or Pastor Jason know if you are willing to make some phone calls to others once a week for as long as we need to maintain physical distance.
*Wednesday Night Small Group will resume after Easter.
Taste and see that the Lord is good! We will gather to read and
discuss Margaret Feinberg’s book, “Taste and See: Discovering God Among
Butchers, Bakers, & Fresh Food Makers” starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
January 15. Since the opening of creation, God, the Master Chef, has used food
to feed body and soul alike. Perhaps God's foodie focus is meant to help us see
the goodness of God together. After all, food is God's love made edible. See
you around the table! Books will be available in the office for $12.00, or you
can pick yours up wherever books are sold.
We are located at the corner of 62nd Ave North and Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
